Our promise

Energy that Takes Root

Energy that powers people’s lives

We believe the energy transition should do more than power the grid — it should power people’s lives. That’s why we want every community that hosts one of our renewable projects to share in its success, finding new opportunities for their wellbeing, their businesses, and their future.

That belief is the foundation of Energy that Takes Root, our program for territorial collaboration and development. It’s a commitment built into every project from day one, shaped around the character, needs, and opportunities of each place we work.

Retaining and Attracting Population in Rural Areas

One of our core goals is tackling rural depopulation by maximizing the socioeconomic impact of our projects on the ground. We work to attract and retain population through jobs at every skill level, training tailored to local needs, and by drawing in industries that can benefit from more competitive, locally generated energy.

Every place has its own story, its own priorities, its own vision for the future. That’s why we start by listening to the people who live and work there. From that dialogue, we shape initiatives together with town councils, businesses, associations, and other local players — building lasting relationships and balancing renewable energy with the region’s economic activity, heritage, and natural value.

Designed to fit its surroundings

Due to their scale and technical requirements, these plants need to be located on large rural sites, always following a rigorous assessment of their environmental and territorial impacts. We are aware of their potential impact on the surrounding area and local communities and, for this reason, from the outset of every development we work to design the plant so that it is as well integrated into the territory as possible.

Designing the project in collaboration with the local community also enables us to maximise its positive impact and turn it into a genuine investment in the area.

We also want to bring energy closer to the people who can use it, right where it’s produced. We explore self-consumption and renewable supply solutions for local industries, SMEs, and cooperatives — helping them stay competitive and decarbonize their operations. That way, cutting emissions and reducing energy dependence become real opportunities for local development.

Teal Renovables is built by professionals with over 20 years of experience developing, building, and operating projects across Aragón, other regions of Spain, and abroad. That experience has taught us to work closely with local communities at every stage, understand their needs, and minimize our impact. Our goal: leave a positive mark and maximize the socioeconomic benefit of every project we build.

One commitment, many ways to take root

The best ideas come from knowing a place and working together. Energy that Takes Root gives us a framework to evaluate the initiatives communities bring to us, across six areas:

Energy & productive activity

Connecting renewable generation with local consumption, boosting energy independence and competitiveness for businesses in the area.

Jobs, training & talent

Driving training, partnerships with schools, and opportunities that improve local employability and help keep population in the territory.

Business & entrepreneurship

Supporting local suppliers and initiatives that strengthen and diversify the local economy.

Wellbeing & community services

Improving facilities, accessibility, and shared spaces, with a focus on the needs of the most vulnerable groups.

Land & biodiversity

Backing initiatives that protect the environment and balance renewable installations with farming, livestock, and other local land uses.

Culture & heritage

Supporting the preservation of heritage and cultural initiatives that matter to the community.

Every project’s actions are shaped by shared priorities, feasibility, and lasting impact — backed by concrete commitments and ongoing follow-up.
